Shared Experiences. Unique Adventures
Our interests changed as we approached our mid-20’s. While we enjoyed hanging out with friends and meeting new people, we grew tired of doing it in the confines of a dim lounge over the roar of loud music. We preferred fun house parties, intimate BBQ’s, and adventurous snowboarding outings, over clubbing.
As our propensity to party waned, our curiosity in traveling blossomed. We saw shows featuring picturesque cities and read stories about exotic vacations – and we vowed to see them all! And while we had the money and time to make these trips come true, we found it difficult to coordinate with friends to travel, often resulting in ‘compromised’ trips – to LA, Vegas, New York, SF – that were over-visited and well, too domestic.
Our dual interest in meeting new people and seeing new places gave birth to the idea of creating a lifestyle company that brings together young Asian professionals, who share common backgrounds and interests for fun, group trips around the world. We began dreaming of a business that took the best elements of the infamous 'Loveboat' and the group-travel dynamics of Contiki Vacations, into a unique company – MyLifeFuel.com
How did we come up with our name?
Our love for traveling blossoms when we’re born, seizes us once we graduate, and never relinquishes its hold over us until we die. We work hard for 50 weeks out of the year for the 2 weeks we can take off and play modern day explorers – seeing breathtaking sites, sampling exotic foods, discovering new adventures, and meeting colorful people.
Traveling, in many ways, becomes our fuel for getting through the year, and a measure for marking the progress through our lives. Therefore, it is only fitting that we named our social travel experience after the very thing that fuels our existence – and so MyLifeFuel was born.
